The IGE is a joint research unit (CNRS, IRD, UGA, Grenoble INP) that brings together about 250 people. IGE is part of the Observatoire des Sciences de l’Univers de Grenoble (OSUG). Its project is focused on the study of climate and the anthropisation of our planet, particularly in regions where societal and environmental issues are the most significant : the polar regions, the intertropical zone, and mountain regions.

Our work is guided by the way scientists question the world around them and we translate their research into images to help people to understand the world better and to awaken their curiosity and wonderment.
