Exaedre measurement campaign in Corsica, October 2018
The occurrence of thunderstorms allowed the teams to carry out the first measurement flights of the Exaedre campaign.
This campaign runs from September 13 to October 12, 2018, during part of the stormy Corsican season, to better understand the processes at the origin of lightning and their connection with storm clouds. It is part of the Exaedre project and involves many research laboratories and four industrial companies. Contribution to the HyMeX program, it is led by researchers from the CNRS and Toulouse III University - Paul Sabatier, with the support of CNES and Météo-France.
