One air of quality

For National Air Quality Day, come and take a look at the images of the scientists who study the atmospheric sciences.

October 14 is National Air Quality Day. It's an opportunity for everyone to discover the importance of the quality of the air we breathe and to put in place, or reaffirm, good practices to preserve it and protect our health.

We are offering an overview of the research being carried out by CNRS laboratories studying air quality, the gases that make it up and the pollutants that contaminate it. Come and watch sounding balloons being released, board connected aircraft and follow the scientists who monitor peat bogs and carbon-trapping oceans, capture air bubbles released by lakes or trapped by ice, set up weather stations in the four corners of the globe and follow the path of desert particles around the Earth.

CNRS Images,

Our work is guided by the way scientists question the world around them and we translate their research into images to help people to understand the world better and to awaken their curiosity and wonderment.
