Parkinson's disease: the search for more effective treatments
Parkinson's disease is a neurodegenerative disorder caused by the progressive degeneration of a certain type of neuron. The loss of these neurons leads to tremors, difficulty with movement and rigidity.
Researchers at the Institut de neurosciences de la Timone (INT - AMU/CNRS) are developing a protocol to provide patients in the future with a treatment that has fewer side effects. This report was produced and financed as part of the Sciences Avec et Pour la Société (SAPS) call for projects.
CNRS Images,
Our work is guided by the way scientists question the world around them and we translate their research into images to help people to understand the world better and to awaken their curiosity and wonderment.
