From discovery to cure
After several years of experimentation on mice, a joint team from the Institut Curie and the Institut Gustave Roussy has just developed a vaccine against cancer which is now beginning to be tested on human subjects. This vaccine uses vesicles secreted by dendritic cells.
The results obtained are too recent and the number of cases treated are not yet sufficient to prove its success, but hopes are high and the enthusiasm of the researchers is infectious.
