Les antennes de 15 mètres de diamètre de l'interféromètre du Plateau de Bure, dans les Hautes-Alpes françaises, observent une source céleste. Au cours des 20 dernières années, l'observatoire a fourni des images sensationnelles et uniques d'étoiles naissantes et en fin de vie, de trous noirs aux confins de l'univers, et de disques autour de jeunes étoiles, lieu de processus chimiques complexes et véritables berceaux de formation planétaire.
