The LAM's research teams conduct programs in the fields of cosmology, galaxy formation and evolution, the interstellar medium, the formation of stellar and planetary systems, the solar system, and astronomical instrumentation. For the past 40 years, the LAM has been involved in numerous space experiments and major ground-based observatory programs.

The LAM manufactures 16 off-axis parabolic optics for the coronograph of the Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope. This laboratory specializes in the manufacturing of high quality optics, using polishing under stress process.

Specialising in advanced imaging, the start-up CURVE s.a.s. offers a complete solution to boost images in specific fields such as professional UAVs, scientific and military instrumentation and bio-medical imaging.
