Date Palms, Wealth of the Borkou Region (The)
In Chad, palm groves of Borkou are an essential wealth for nomads. In this desert region, a water-table has allowed the development of a palm grove composed of about 1 200 000 date palms, which produce 7 000 tons of dates per year.
