Summary

During a retrospective of his films, Jean Rouch talks with Enrico Fulchignoni. In this document, in a bonus offered with the DVD "Cocorico ! Monsieur Poulet" (verbatim, cock-a-doodle-doo, Mr. Chicken), he offers a few clues to three of his films.
About "Bataille sur le grand fleuve" (battle on the great river - 7 min.): he tells about the shooting conditions and the screening of the film a few years later in the fishermen's village.
About "Cimetières dans la cliaise" (the cemetery in the cliff - 8 min.), he talks about his thesis supervisor Marcel Griaule and the shooting of the film with all the difficulties of doing so without any preparation.
About Cocorico! Monsieur Poulet, he describes the main character of the film, a well-named 2 CV car dubbed "Patience", as the plot of the film crops up with the car breakdowns and the adventures of the three pals Lam, Damouré and Tallou.
