New photographs of LHC detectors

The LHC is the world's largest and most powerful particle accelerator.

The LHC's particle beams cross 40 million times per second at four interaction points equipped with particle detectors: the Atlas, CMS, LHCb and Alice experiments. CNRS scientists contribute to the research carried out with these four experiments, but also to the improvements made to the accelerator and the detectors.

CNRS Images,

Our work is guided by the way scientists question the world around them and we translate their research into images to help people to understand the world better and to awaken their curiosity and wonderment.
