Scanning electron microscope observation of a synthetic elastic protein
Scanning electron microscope observation of a synthetic elastic protein at 2 mg/ml, in a pH 7.4 phosphate buffered saline solution at 40°C. This protein mimics elastin, the elastic protein produced by our cells. It spontaneously forms coalescent spherical structures. The scale bar corresponds to 2 µm.
