Télescope Ritchey-Chretien de 1 m de diamètre au sein d'une des coupoles jumelées (1963) de l'Observatoire de Lyon. C'est l'instrument le plus puissant de l'observatoire. Il a été installé en 1974, puis déplacé dans un site de montagne (en Suisse) en 1976, pour revenir à l'observatoire en 1983.
