Chambre à dérive, haute en couleur, du détecteur FOPI au GSI de Darmstadt qui permet de reconstruire les trajectoires des particules chargées dans les collisions d'ions lourds à des énergies incidentes de 100 à 2000 MeV/nucléon ; elle est constituée de 16 secteurs, chacun comprenant 60 fils sensibles. Dans des collisions centrales Au/Au, une centaine de particules (pi+ pi-, K+ K-, p, d, t,...) sont détectées.
