Détail du banc de détection VIRGO. On voit ici les supports motorisés des miroirs. Ceux-ci ont été munis de moteurs fonctionnant sous vide. L'expérience VIRGO est destinée à la détection des ondes gravitationnelles. Elle est installée à Cascina près de Pise en Italie.
