Tonalite (roche plutonique acide) mis en place il y a environ 60 millions d'années au travers de roches océaniques d'âge crétacé supérieur (env. 88 Millions d'années). Les tonalités claires renferment des enclaves plus sombres qui sont des fragments des roches traversées incorporées dans le magma lors de la remontée. La datation des différentes roches permet de reconstituer l'histoire géologique de la région. Batholite de Madrigal, Cordillère centrale de la République Dominicaine.
