Téréphtalate de chrome ou MIL-101 (Matériaux de l'Institut Lavoisier n°101). Les MILs, matériaux poreux, sont formés par l'assemblage par liaisons fortes de parties inorganiques et organiques qui créent des pores. Le Mil-101, solide poreux rigide, présente des pores géants et des volumes et surfaces de pore très importants. Ce nanomatériau aux propriétés adsorbantes est capable de piéger, capturer un certain nombre de substances ou de molécules. Il est actuellement le matériau le plus performant pour stocker à température ambiante le dioxyde de carbone (CO2), principal gaz à effet de serre.
