Analyse d'un échantillon de verre à base d'oxyde de tellure par spectrométrie Raman

Analysis of a sample of tellurium oxide glass using a Renishaw inVia Reflex Raman spectrometer. Research scientists analyse the structure of the material at close and mid range, more specifically observing the distribution, size and shape of the crystals inside this glass-ceramic with a view to optimising its nucleation-growth parameters. Target applications include light guidance and the amplification of optical signals via the Raman effect, as well as nonlinear supercontinuum generation (equivalent to a broad-spectrum coherent light source).

CNRS Images,

Our work is guided by the way scientists question the world around them and we translate their research into images to help people to understand the world better and to awaken their curiosity and wonderment.
