Find out how the sciences work together to understand and improve the health of everyone, everywhere and at every age.
The Year of Health builds on the momentum of the ‘Years of…’ initiative launched in 2018–2019.
Its aim is to bridge the gap between research and school education in order to highlight scientific advances, encourage dialogue between research staff, teachers, pupils and the general public, and make science accessible to all.
It is characterised by a multidisciplinary approach, addressing health from every angle, from the life sciences to the humanities, including technology. It also seeks to broaden perceptions of careers in the health sector and to integrate physical and mental wellbeing into educational programmes, in the spirit of the ‘health-promoting school’.
