View the mediaBiomaterials are designed to interact with living organisms and meet a range of medical needs: implants, prostheses, tissue regeneration and controlled drug release. Additive manufacturing enables the creation of bespoke devices, whilst hybrid approaches combine materials with living cells to replicate certain biological functions. Combined with the regenerative and differentiation properties of stem cells, this research opens up new possibilities for repairing or replacing tissues and advancing regenerative medicine.
Our work is guided by the way scientists question the world around them and we translate their research into images to help people to understand the world better and to awaken their curiosity and wonderment.
